The Challenge:
To update Cardinal Glennon's antiquated VCR-based surveillance system that relied on only 50 cameras to cover a 10-acre hospital campus
operating 24 hours a day with thousands of personnel, patients and
visitors. The old system suffered from chronic equipment failures and
a
lack of regular maintenance.
The Solution:
Starting in 1999, Will Electronics' technicians completely retrofitted the system by replacing the VCR system with a superior DVR system, increasing the number of cameras to 186, and setting up multiple viewing stations located strategically throughout the hospital. Will Electronics technicians also conduct routine preventive maintenance visits to ensure the equipment is in optimal working condition.
