Will Electronics Rep Earns Prestigious Security Professional of the Year Award
Will Electronics is proud to announce that Darrell Baker is the 2010 recipient of the Carl Bender Security Professional of the Year Award by the St. Louis chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
Darrell joined Will Electronics in 1998 and is now a Senior Account Manager with the company. His career in the security field spans more than 22 years. He has also been an active member of ASIS’ St. Louis Chapter since 1992, serving as the Chapter Chairman in 1998. Darrell received his award at the Law Enforcement and Private Security Appreciation Luncheon hosted by ASIS, and was joined by his wife, Kim, and son, Brett.
The Carl Bender Security Professional of the Year Award is bestowed annually to an ASIS member in good standing who has made a significant contribution to the chapter. Candidates are nominated by their peers from within the ASIS chapter.
“No one is more deserving of this award than Darrell,” said Kurt Will, President of Will Electronics. “Our company has benefitted a great deal from his dedication and experience. We are proud of his commitment to ASIS as well as all of his accomplishments, and we’re glad that he continues to be an integral part of the Will Electronics team.”
ASIS International is the preeminent organization for security professionals. Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that address broad security interests. ASIS currently boasts more than 37,000 members worldwide, of which 400 are with the organization’s St. Louis chapter.
